Active mobility in Granada
The suitability of the built environment for walking and cycling in cities is measured through the overall active mobility indicator. This indicator considers urban densities for walkability, cyclability, urban green spaces, urban vitality, and the 15-minute city concept.
Granada has the right characteristics to facilitate walking and cycling. The highest values are found in the center and south of the city. The presence of mountainous areas and monofunctional areas on the urban periphery, such as the Alhambra, industrial estates and the Cartuja University campus, limits the capacity of the environment to generate active mobility.
