Granada – Urban green

Urban green in Granada

Map highlighting urban green areas in Granada.

Urban green spaces include parks, landscaped areas and trees in public and private spaces.

18% of the city of Granada is covered with abundant vegetation, while 34% consists of dispersed greenery. Urban green spaces are concentrated in the peripheral areas, particularly in the east (Albaicín and Dehesa del Generalife). The city features large parks such as Las Alquerías, Almanjáyar, Federico García Lorca, and Tico Medina.

However, in the historic center and the most densely populated neighborhoods, the presence of green spaces is limited. Peri-urban neighborhoods such as Alquería del Fargue and Lancha de Cenes have a large amount of green areas.
