Urban green in Palma
Urban green spaces include parks, landscaped areas and trees in public and private spaces.
37% of the city of Palma is covered with abundant vegetation and 28% with sparse vegetation. The vegetation in Palma is mostly located in the urban periphery. The greenest areas are in the southwest, in Bellver woods and the Tramuntana mountains.
The greenest neighborhoods are Gènova, Sant Agustí, Son Vida, Son Roca and Son Rapinya. The rest of the city is dotted with parks, gardens and green axes of lower tree density: the parks of the Riera, Son Moix, ses Estacions, ses Fonts and Krekovic are the most prominent.
